Blink Fitness has leased 15,000 square feet at the South Bay Commons Shopping Center at 175 Sunrise Highway in West Islip.
This will be the second Blink location on Long Island. The first opened in March in Melville.
Blink is a subsidiary of Manhattan-based Equinox. The company is seeking Long Island locations of 15,000 to 20,000 square feet in a grocery or big-box anchored shopping center with heavy vehicular traffic, at least 125 parking spaces, high visibility and easy access, according to a statement. Blink’s layout is flexible with the ability to go to two levels.
Jayson Siano, managing principal of Sabre Real Estate Group in Garden City, represented the owner of the property, Hamilton, Kane, Martin Enterprises, which is owned by investor Salvatore DiCarlo of Jupiter, Fla. Stu Fagen, managing director of Sabre, and Peter Levine of Charter Realty & Development, represented Blink in the leasing deal.
