07.15.2015 LIBN | Sabre acquires New Jersey brokerage
By David Winzelberg

Less than a year after opening an office in Jersey City, N.J., Sabre Real Estate Group has acquired Anderson Realty Services, a Bayonne-based competitor.

Terms of the deal weren’t disclosed.

Anderson Realty has a team of four brokers led by 40-year industry veteran, Lawrence Anderson, who joins Sabre as executive vice president after the acquisition.

Jayson Siano, Sabre’s managing principal, said the firm’s been working hard to expand its business in the Garden State. He said Anderson Realty has very strong retailer and landlord relationships and shares with Sabre the same micro knowledge of their respective markets.

“Sabre has already worked on the opposite side of Anderson Realty on many deals in New Jersey which has made this transition even easier,” Siano said in a company statement.

Sabre was already operating in New Jersey and opened its office at 30 Journal Square in Jersey City in September 2014. Since its westward expansion began, Sabre’s New Jersey team has signed more than 10 Starbucks Coffee leases, seven Anthony’s Coal Fired Pizza leases, five Blink Fitness leases and several others, including leases for Bareburger and Save A Lot. The company also represents the owners and developers of more than two dozen New Jersey properties, according to the statement.
