Brokers at Sabre Real Estate Group, LLC, the metropolitan region's newest retail brokerage, have been honored threes time by Long Island Business News (LIBN) in the publication's annual real estate awards.
The regional business publication has honored Sabre director Greg Batista as its Commercial Real Estate Rising Star. LIBN also honored Jayson Siano, managing principal of Sabre, for his role in the 2013 Top Commercial Re-development Project-Suffolk and recognized Siano and Batista for the 2013 Most Creative Commercial Deal-Nassau.
Batista, 30, a director at Sabre, completed 15 deals in his first full year at the firm, comprising 52,381 square feet with an aggregate gross value of $10 million. His deals included bringing the first Denny's restaurant to Brooklyn. Other transactions involved Sally Beauty Supply, Cosmo Prof, Muscle Make Grill, Bonefish Grill and Ageless 360.
Meanwhile, Siano was honored for his efforts in the redevelopment of a shuttered diner in Bohemia, near Islip MacArthur Airport, into locations for Anthony's Coal Fired Pizza and Starbucks. Siano and Batista also were honored for their creativity in the sale of a former, vacant cinema in Rockville Centre and its subsequent leasing to Bonefish Grill.
